Settle Stories / The Yorkshire Festival of Story / Ribblehead 150
The 12th of October 2020 marks 150 years since the building of the RIbblehead Viaduct. This is arguably the most impressive man-made landmark in the Yorkshire Dales and is part of the Settle-Carlisle Railway. To celebrate this anniversary, Settle Stories with help of funding from the National Heritage Lottery, commissioned me to create a short shadow film to bring to life these stories for families and younger audiences. As part of the Ribblehead 150 project, Settle Stories also created a children’s activity booklet. To coincide with the film I designed activity sheets of the shadow puppet characters to be included in the booklet, allowing children to create their own Ribblehead shadow play at home too.
